Gamenet has proved itself to be among the first players of the gaming sectors in Italy in 2014 too, with a €5.3 bn total collection.

In 2014, the Group registered proceeds amounting to €545.7 million, essentially in line with the previous year, notwithstanding the persistent economic crisis. The adjusted EBITDA amounts to €66.1 million, down from €74 million of 2013 (mainly due to the reduction of AWP business’ margins), while the net profit is up to €4.2 million from € -33.1 million registered in 2013 (which included the resolution of the arbitration at the Court of Accounts).

Net debt has positively developed from €202.0 million in 2013 to €177.9 million in 2014, thanks to a cash generation of €25 million.

The decrease of proceeds connected with the AWP segment has been compensated by the growth of the VLT and retail businesses, increasing by 3.5% circa, thanks to the increased average number of active machines and to the increase of unit proceedings, resulting from the actions on payout and a consistent focus on asset management. A remarkable contribution to the endurance of proceedings has been given by the positive development of the Betting & Online segment too, with proceedings increased by €25.6 million – thanks to the rollout of the rights on betting purchased in 2013, to the activities of asset management of the distribution network and to the launch of Virtual games at the beginning of 2014.
